Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP), Hogan Lovells and Ashurst are among the firms to have been shortlisted for Legal Week's Innovation Awards.
The awards are returning for a second year after 2015's inaugural event, which saw Dana-Denis Smith, the founder and CEO of flexible staffing service Obelisk Support, take home the award for Outstanding Legal Innovator.
BLP, which is listed in five categories, joins a list of firms including Cooley, Dentons and Reed Smith in contention for the award for International Law Firm Innovation.
Ashurst is among the nominees for the coveted Future of Legal Services Innovation award, alongside firms including DLA Piper and Kennedys, while Hogan Lovells features in categories such as Diversity Innovation and Marketing Innovation.
In-house departments in the running for awards include Unilever, Vodafone and Aon, while a number of cross-firm initiatives such as the Legal Social Mobility Partnership and the InterLaw Diversity Forum are also represented.
This year's awards, which for the first time will be supported by Law.com and The American Lawyer following ALM's acquisition of Legal Week, will be presented at a lunchtime ceremony at The Brewery, London EC1, on 27 May.
We look forward to celebrating with you in May.
